My painting is inspired by my love of old photographs.  Old photographs catch a transient moment of history and of the lives of people often unknown to us now.  I try to convey my feelings about these people and their damaged and fading images.  I often work in series which are as diverse as one on Nottingham Convicts and one on Servants.
