I first discovered Paper Modeling or Card Modeling in 1974 while browsing a small hobby shop in the Old Towne Mall located in Torrance, California.
There was a very small box (with the capacity to hold approximately two dozen Micromodels kits) containing only one kit from Micromodels;
Set S1- Six Little Ships and Galleons, which I bought for two dollars.

Six Little Ships and Galleons reduced (parts page for each fits on a business card!)

I asked the owner if he had any more and he sadly exclaimed that he had not, and that Micromodels was out of business.
I later built the Mayflower and gave it to a friend.
The remaining five ships were lost, and I had forgotten about card modeling until 2002 while searching the web for pictures of old sailing ships.
I came across a tiny picture of the Six Little Ships, my memory sparked, and I was able to find copies of all Micromodels kits for sale on CD.
On my Gallery page, you will see more pics of those Six Little Ships reduced plus several more miniatures.
During that search I was also introduced to tons of papercraft for free download online,
and over the next few years I literally found tens of thousands of free downloads (again, see my links page)
and have a collection that would probably take me three hundred years to build, working 24 hours a day.
After building a hundred or so card models, I began repainting, and then eventually designing my own toys and models
the latter of which I offer here for free out of gratitude of all those wonderful designers whom supplied me.
I have many, many different creative outlets of which card modeling is only a small part.
So please come back from time to time as there are always new projects on the drawing board, and as time permits, they wil be added here.
Enjoy!
