Landscape Paintings and Drawings:  Vivien Blackburn   plein air  paintings  of Leicestershire and elsewhere in oil, watercolour, charcoal, pencil and mixed media and in the studio  on large oil paintings on canvas that becomed more abstract or pastel on paper; the play of light on the landscape and the changes with time of day and season are an endless fascination.  The 'bones' of the land beneath the covering of plants and soil interest me, rolling hills or dunes, sharp rocks and scree, the colours and light changing with the seasons and the underlying form and sweep of the land.
