In school I drew figuratives and florals in pencil, and did several oils and drawings in college. Click here to see some of my early works. But during my senior year I stopped painting, and did not picked up another brush nor did any serious drawing until January, 2005, when I began taking my very first art class. I guess doors open when the time is right. I have worked in several media to find the ones that suit me best, and today, I work primarily in oils and graphite. I am a member of the Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society of America, Allied Artists of America, the York Art Association and Yorkarts in York, PA among other organizations. I have been juried into several national contests, have won a numbetr of awards, completed four one-artist shows and have been commissioned for portraits and pet paintings. I was one of the five winners of the Rottler Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2009 at the York (Pa) Art Association and am now offering workshops at the York (PA) Art Association and at the Hanover (PA) Art Guild. I am available for commissions.
The following website has reproductions for sale of many of my works at reasonable

prices: http://fineartamerica.com/shop/william-erwin.html If you would like a reproduction of any of my works, I can upload the file to Fine Art America, just let me know.
