Like anyone living in the suburbs, finding places to bird hunt or just train and exercise dogs,  meant packing the truck and hitting the road.  Public land is fine and reasonable--if you can find any with birds.  And then you have to share time and space with other recreationists.  Private land is better, but costly.  And not all plantations will allow you to hunt over your own dog.  But sometimes, you just want to shoot a few birds, work out some training kinks and/or enjoy the company of your own dog.

Hence, ZZ Farms.  The farm is located in south Baldwin County (10 miles from Milledgeville) and was purchased in early 2003 for the simple reason that it contained wild bobwhite quail.  Friends and fellow hunters soon arrived, and a business was born.
