Chungpo Tsering,Born in 1979
Study in TCV school Dharamsala ( India). He love any kind of Art since childhood as well as creative to do any kind of art form, And drop out from school at 8th grade with full intention to become an Artist.
And than he Join in VTC Dharamsala and within in a year he graduated in traditional and contemporary carpet design.when to Nepal as a carpet designer.worked in many well known Carpet factories in Nepal and supplying design for international carpet design collectors.After Maoist ruled Nepal he lost his job due to factory close down.So he left to Thailand and met some artist and work with them for commercial.
In 2000 he when back to Kathmandu and did his First solo show in Indigo gallery..and he was a first Tibetan contemporary artist exhibit in Nepal.later he did many show around the globe,In 2005 he open his own Art gallery in Kathmandu Nepal to support other Tibetan and Nepali Artist,in 2007 his gallery was close down after thread from Chinese Embassy of Nepal,
in same year he got an residency in Seoul Korea National University of Arts to promote Tibetan contemporary paintings .And had very successful both in KNUA and later did same show organize by Korea Ministry Of Culture and Tourism.
His works are collected by many well known Museums,gallery,and private collector such as Bill Clinton US former president.Donal Rubin director of Rubin Museum,and so on. Now Chungpo permanently move in California since 2009 as a full time artist.
