Sodhon was born in Lhasa, Tibet in 1971. He was among the first exiled Tibetans to spearhead the Tibetan contemporary art movement in India in the 1980s. In 1988, he fled into exile in India and soon became the front man to revamp illustration works in numerous Tibetan school textbooks, children's story books, popular young people's magazines such as Phayul (1993), and well received comic books such as, The Soldier of Peace' 2013.
Sodhon has exhibited at the Rubin Museum, New York City, 2013, Rossi & Rossi Gallery, London, 2013, the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, New York, 2006, the Pallazzo Nerucci, Rome, 2010, and the CU Art Museum, 2006.
He currently lives in New York City.
