Tenzin Jigme

"Born in Lhasa with his parents hailing from the Kham region of Tibet, he crossed over to India in 1995 for education. He studied at SOS Tibetan Children's Village in Himachal Pradesh and during his school years, his interest in visual arts sparked and grew. Currently, he is a third year student at Delhi College of Art in Print making.
Thematically exploding with ideas, he explores multiple mediums, techniques and concepts to develop his intrinsic style. Art to him is nothing more the expression of an idea, image or feeling to express personal acceptance of desire to procreate. While dwelling on Tibetan tradition and innate identity, he processes contemporary art forms subconsciously. His works are a form of impromptu emotional outburst and rigorous experimentation with texture and depth.
Jigme participated in the group exhibition of contemporary Tibetan art at International Center Goa with Tibetan artists from around the world in November, 2011.
