Interactive Computational Auto War Game
We created an interactive, multi-agent simulation war gaming system. It was applied to the US auto market in order to test market strategies for a Japanese automaker. How would a recession affect sales? How to respond (pricing, volume, both)? Results informed a rapid shift of product mix from SUVs to cars very early in the 2008 recession.
First Business Analytics Course at Top MBA School
In 2000, Chris Langdon, PCR's President, created the first MBA course on "Designing E-Business Models" at a top U.S. business school. The school, the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business was ranked a top 10 school by The Wall Street Journal in 2005.
Best E-Commerce Strategy
We helped a major retailer develop a first e-tailing business, which received the Best Practices Award for Electronic Commerce Strategy sponsored by Manager Magazin, a leading German business magazine. The winner was selected by a leading management consultancy in a European benchmarking competition.
First "Free" ISP and Social Network
We have been involved in the design and implementation of a first social networking and "free" Internet access service offering in continental Europe. The service went live for IFA tradeshow in Berlin ("Online-Communities gewinnen im Marketing an Bedeutung - Sony bereitet E-Commerce ueber FriendFactory vor." Handelsblatt).
