Debra was raised in the farming and ranching country of central Nebraska.

She realized her passion for creating art at an early age, and her early art education consisted of lessons in oil painting from a grade school teacher.  Attending college at

Kearney State (now the University of Nebraska at Kearney),  her passion for

painting grew. A move to Colorado in the late 70's further developed her

love of the landscape in art, and she now paints the mountain, prairie,

and wildlife scenes that are her very backyard.

Debra has studied under locally and nationally known artists.  Her work has won numerous awards , and her paintings  hang  in private collections across the United States and as far away as Singapore. Debra's work was exhibited at  the 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011 Western Spirit Shows at the Old West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Debra's oil paintings were juried into both the 2010 and 2011 Wild Horse Art Show and Sale, the 2010 and 2011 Cheyenne National Art Show, and she has also exhibited at the 2009 and 2010 Mile High National Pastel Exhibit.
