Dustin's Greenhouse
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and the Globetrotters for the impact
you and your teams have had here in Iquitos. Dustin's Green House has captured
the vision of volunteerism in a way that serves as a catalyst for change.
I can see the difference on the streets at night as some of our long-term "usual" kids are no longer there due to the school feeding programs and family monitoring that you initiated. Coming to a city like a tourist is easy but creating an ongoing, sustainable, life changing program, means putting your hands on the messing situations that are often
difficult to fix.
The spirit of Dustin's Green House is all about empowering the volunteers and participants of the program. So few want to hang in there long enough to see the changes happen. Thank you for your "staying power."
While we work in the slums of Belen or pay the vendors that supply our street children with breakfast, the kids ask if you are coming back? I assure them that you are.
God bless you my friend, take courage in the battle of poverty and ignorance that lies ahead. We win.... one life at a time.
