When I make a drawing of a place, besides the conventional artistic considerations, I like to try and understand the place, what it represents and why it looks the way it doe s.
I love exploring places and drawing landscapes or investigating scenes closer to home in houses, gardens and interiors. My drawings are completed while working "en plein air" in front of the subject or back in the studio based on plein air studies and sketchbooks. Sketches of Interiors are always drawn from life.
