I'm delighted to be showing with External link opens in new tab or windowCorey Helford Gallery in my first US Solo Exhibition.

I've been working for the past twenty months on this show and have sixteen paintings completed for the exhibition.

The themes, as the title suggests, are Solitude and Extinction . . . whereby the Extinction aspect looks further than that of the extinction our wonderful animals and explores mankind own future. These pull references from popular culture, featuring post-apocalyptic landscapes and zombies.

I have long been a fan/follower of Coates and Scarry  . . . so I was delighted when they asked to interview me.
Richard at Coates and Scarry asked me about my inspiration, narrative and my decision to go on the Transglobe Expedition. There’s also a glimpse of work in progress in my studio.

Silver at ‘London Lives'

North Port Sanction 24 x 48", Oil on Linen

As I had planned not to have a solo exhibition in 2010 I decided to participate in a few Group Shows to brighten up my year.

I saw the London Lives competition advertised and although I didn’t think my work would be quite what they were looking for I put a piece in and was delighted when it was accepted for the show.

I was totally taken by surprise when my name was called out for the Silver award. It was all very surreal and wonderfully strange and just goes to show that “You never can tell”

London Lives is a vibrant new art competition developed in partnership with Bankside Gallery, Cass Art, and Network Rail, and kindly supported by The Guardian.

I  believe that it is extremely rare for a painting to be truly portrayed by music and spoken word . . .or music and spoken word to be truely portrayed by a painting . . . but . . ."The Heart of Failure" and "John" have achieved this rare state and are deeply connected.

The Lighthouse Gala Auction is one of London's most successful charity auctions. It is held each March in the stunning Great Rooms of Christie's, St James's.Only at the Lighthouse Gala Auction could you bid for a counselling session with Joan Rivers, a date with George Michael, lunch with Jackie Collins, tea with Jeffrey Archer, or a shopping spree with Joanna Lumley.
