Homesharing is a term used to describe a living arrangement where two unrelated people share one home or apartment. It’s an alternative, affordable housing option that can work for people of many different ages and life situations:
● People who are divorced or who have lost a spouse
● People who are experiencing financial difficulties due to illness, furloughs, unexpected expenses ot other reasons
● Seniors who would like a sense of security and companionship
● Individuals relocating for work opportunities
St. Ambrose Homesharing Program is a non-profit match service that has been making successful Homesharing arrangements in Baltimore City and Baltimore County for over 22 years! We screen and check references for each candidate and refer potential housemates to one another. We help facilitate the Homesharing Agreement, and are available for follow up questions and concerns. Our Homesharing program is part of the St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, which also offers Foreclosure Prevention and Homeownership Counseling. If you are interested or would like to learn more, call St. Ambrose at 410-366-6180, or visit our website at www.stambrosehousing.org.
